Kehoe shines as star of Gettysburg lacrosse

No one is saying Tommy Kehoe is faster than a speeding bullet.
Just that he is the speeding Bullet.
Kehoe’s speed and accompanying fervor helped the Gettysburg Bullets lacrosse star become the 2009 NCAA Division III National Player of the Year.
It also helped him get drafted. Wednesday, the senior long-stick midfielder and Coraopolis native was selected by the Chicago Machine in the fifth round of the Major League Lacrosse draft.
“I don’t have a tip or secret,” Kehoe said of his skills. “I’m just lucky to be fast.”

Tommy Kehoe (SA ‘05, Gettysburg ‘09) Named 1st Team All-CC

LANCASTER, Pa. – Fresh off the program’s sixth straight Centennial Conference title, the fifth-ranked Gettysburg men’s lacrosse team was well-represented on the All-Centennial Conference team, as released by the conference office Tuesday evening.
Eight players earned a spot on the team, including five first-team selections. In addition, senior midfielder Tom O’Donnell (Montgomeryville, Pa./La Salle College) was named player of the year.
The all-conference team is voted on by the league’s nine head coaches.

Tommy Kehoe (SA ‘05) Named CC Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior midfielder Tommy Kehoe (Coraopolis, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Gettysburg College men’s lacrosse team has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. The weekly accolade was the second of Kehoe’s career as a Bullet.
Kehoe was part of a Bullets’ defensive effort that held No. 15 Washington (Md.) College to its lowest goal total in conference play this season as ninth-ranked Gettysburg notched an 11-4 victory at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium on April 4. The senior long-stick midfielder racked …
