No one is saying Tommy Kehoe is faster than a speeding bullet.
Just that he is the speeding Bullet.
Kehoe’s speed and accompanying fervor helped the Gettysburg Bullets lacrosse star become the 2009 NCAA Division III National Player of the Year.
It also helped him get drafted. Wednesday, the senior long-stick midfielder and Coraopolis native was selected by the Chicago Machine in the fifth round of the Major League Lacrosse draft.
“I don’t have a tip or secret,” Kehoe said of his skills. “I’m just lucky to be fast.”

LANCASTER, Pa. – Fresh off the program’s sixth straight Centennial Conference title, the fifth-ranked Gettysburg men’s lacrosse team was well-represented on the All-Centennial Conference team, as released by the conference office Tuesday evening.
Eight players earned a spot on the team, including five first-team selections. In addition, senior midfielder Tom O’Donnell (Montgomeryville, Pa./La Salle College) was named player of the year.
The all-conference team is voted on by the league’s nine head coaches.

Joel Dalgarno (Western Reserve Academy 2005, The Ohio State University 2009) recently became the leading scorer all-time for the Buckeyes. He was also recently named to the All-GWLL First Team for the third team in his career. He is also a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior Class Award.

After playing in an incredible game this past Saturday against the University of Virginia, Jimmy Mullen (Mt. Lebanon 2005, Dartmouth 2009) took some time to be the next MSLCA alumni to answer 5 Questions.
Jimmy earned three letters in lacrosse and two in football at Mt. Lebanon High School where he was also the captain of both teams. He was a two-time high school All-America and a member of the 2005 US Lacrosse Senior Showcase Championship team serving as the only representative from Western Pennsylvania.

Jeff Foote graduated from Western Reserve Academy in 2007 where he lettered in lacrosse (4), ice hockey (4), and soccer (4). He also captained the ice hockey team (2 years) and lacrosse team (1 year). He was All-MSLCA in 2006 and 2007 and was an Academic All-American his senior year. LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior midfielder Tommy Kehoe (Coraopolis, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Gettysburg College men’s lacrosse team has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. The weekly accolade was the second of Kehoe’s career as a Bullet.
Kehoe was part of a Bullets’ defensive effort that held No. 15 Washington (Md.) College to its lowest goal total in conference play this season as ninth-ranked Gettysburg notched an 11-4 victory at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium on April 4. The senior long-stick midfielder racked …

Colby Wilson (Western Reserve Academy ‘08) and Adam Donahue (Upper Arlington ‘08) have been on opposite sides of the substitution box for the better part of three years. During those three years Colby and Adam played against each other three times with Upper Arlington winning 2 out of 3. Also in that stretch both of them played on teams that won the MSLCA Championship: Western Reserve Academy in 2006 and Upper Arlington in 2007.
Now Colby and Adam need to look only across the room that they share at Gerogetown University, …

Brett Hughes (Upper Arlington ‘00, UVA ‘04) has been named to the 84-player tryout pool for the 2010 FIL World Championships.
Hughes was a four year starter at the University of Virginia and a three time All-American.
